Lots of "Stuff"
My husband got me a curio cabinet from freecycle. Most of the clips to hold in the glass are broken so we went to get some. The first store we went to didn’t have any so we went to Lowe’s. We were looking at a cart that was full of clearance items. My hubby asked about a fake doorknob, the kind that doesn’t latch but is used for dorts that just pull open like closets. The salesman said he would knock it down from the clearance price of just over $6.00 to $1.00. When my husband asked about the electrical tools, the clerk told him he could have the two power tools for $10.00 each or $20.00 for the both of them or $15.00 for everything on the cart. So now we have 25 fake doorknobs, 3 bags of sprinkler parts, lawn strippers, drawer pulls, 10-15 garden planning CDs, finials, 3-4 paper tiger replacement blades (good because we have the tool and a room full of wallpaper we want to remove), emergency light control socket, a tape measure, a whole roll of tie wire like used to close off garbage bags, a dead bolt, pull chains, lawn mower blades (that don’t fit our lawn mower), a couple of valances, wall switch covers, a bag of bolts, a tub surround and other stuff for $16.03 total. The clearance price for this “stuff” was $1,126.60. I am happy for the tub surround as we needed one anyway. The valances and one matching switch plate cover will go in my girls room. My son wants the drawer pulls. My husband was happy for the sprinkler parts and will my father-in-law when we take the leftovers to him. Where do I put the rest of the “stuff” for now? Its in my livingroom and driving me nuts. Oh well. It made my husband happy. By the way, still no glass clips.
