Preschool - Trains

This week we focused on trains. We read Freight Train by Donald Crews which is a wonderful book, colorful and vibrant. We also read The Little Engine That Could by Watty Piper. We read the poem Shiny New Train by Katrina Lybbert and acted out the poem Trains by James S. Tippett. We talked about the different kinds of trains, freight trains, passenger trains, etc. We talked about how train starts with the letter T. We made a train out of geometrical shapes. We also talked about the letter 10 and counted to ten in Spanish and English.

Do you homeschool? I am a homeschooler, but he is 15 and my oldest is in college. Your pictures are precious. Nice to meet you!

I had one or two boys that loved and still do love trains ( although one will not admit it now!)

They're favorite PBS show was Thomas the Train! I can still hear the toot toots in my head!

No, I don't homeschool but my baby is 2 1/2. She is smart and likes to learn so I teach her 3x a week. We usually read book or poem that goes along with our theme each week. I have so much respect for people who can homeschool. Thanks for visiting my blog.
